SYNOPSIS:
Joy, a young Nigerian woman caught in the vicious circle of sex trafficking, she works the streets paying off her debts and supports her family, struggling to understand her role in the system of exploitation she is charged 5o supervise Precious a teenage girl not ready to accept her fate.THOUGHTS
Some families knowingly send their children or wards for such endeavors due to the lack of finances and other social amenities and would do anything to get a better life, the fact that these girls go through this experiences puts a strain on them emotionally psychologically and not to talk of physically and there's also the fact that most of them might be murdered in certain situations.BREAKDOWN
Though I found certain actions of the characters unrealistic because they were a bit to far from the actually reality of what goes on.Overall, the story line was okay, in the sense that so much drama or suspense wasn't put into it and enough thrill to make you want to know what's going to happen, didn't have an over the top acting, actors portrayed their roles naturally giving you the flow of how a normal day to day experience, granted it wasn't produced by a Nigerian studio ( FriebeuterFilm) and directed by Sudahbeh Mortezai the production didn't veer from the realistic theme of the movie, cutomes and make up were also lived up to expectations for the movie, being that the most part of the movie was short in dark areas, the cinematography gave the ambient feels of the environment based in its documentary like approach, the music was minimal, which pulled the focus more on what was going on the the movie than bumping to the music.
