FILM FACTORY SUMMER CAMP 2019

WELCOME!!!

The Entertainment Industry in Nigeria is one of the most influential and fastest growing sectors in Nigeria and is currently the second largest industry in the country after Petroleum. With Nigerian Entertainment being recognized globally and in every part of the world, the industry has become a product that is currently being exported to all the countries in Africa and the world.
Be it Music, Arts, Dance or Movie, the Nigerian content is highly valued and very lucrative for its unique vibe and distinctive peculiarities.

Nollywood (the Nigerian Movie Industry) is currently the second largest Movie Industry in the world after Hollywood (The American Movie Industry) with its production volume of Film and TV content expanding daily. It's also the home to some of the continents biggest Stars and most prestige movie makers.

However, Calabar. One of the major cities in the country with an enormous potential to be the Los Angeles California (home of Hollywood) is still in the dark ages in the Movie and TV production. This could be associated with the lack of support for the industry by the state government, stakeholders and other investors, an oversight of the potentials and lucrative gains of film making both to the masses and the already existing players of the industry.

Furthermore, the major challenge of the industry in Calabar is the lack of passionate, trained and skillful professionals who understand what is required and can make and deliver industry standard films and TV programs that can affect the entire industry globally. It's is from this need at a time like that that Movie Village in Collaboration with Prime Media powered by Ikapture came together to create
